Hillel/JSA
The Jewish Students’ Association of Atlantic Canada works to promote a sense of unity and identity, an awareness of Jewish issues, and a strong sense of pride among Jewish students on the campuses of the Atlantic Provinces.
The JSA also provides education and campus development through publications and audio/visual resources, and puts together so many programs that we guarantee to have something for everyone!
From our annual “Jew-B-Q” and the Hookah in the Sukkah to start the year off, to volunteering in East Coast communities and raising money throughout the year for notable causes worldwide, all the way to the “make-your-own sushi” (Jewshi) event, we encourage all Jewish students to keep their fingers on the pulse of the JSA Campus network!
The Albert and Tammy Latner Foundation, Toronto, has generously donated a Bayit for the use of the Jewish Students’ Association. This has become home to such student events as Shabbat dinners, social programs, meetings and conferences.
The Israel Action Committee is also there to inform and clarify regarding events in Israel that are often misrepresented on campuses. The Committee is pro-active, pro-awareness, and pro-diversity.
