Dr. Harry Rajchgot will be reading from his novel Gravitational Fields at the Saint John Jewish Historical Museum, 91 Leinster Street, Saint John on Monday, August 28, 2017 at 7:00 p.m.
Harry Rajchgot was born in a displaced persons’ camp, the son of Holocaust survivors who spent the war years in the Soviet Union. Gravitational Fields is his first novel. He is married to Cheryl Everett, formerly of Saint John, and is the father of three adult children.
Gravitational Fields is a moving, lyrical story that shifts from the small town Jewish life of pre-war Poland to the wilds of Russia, from Europe to Montreal, and on to Israel. It is an epic tale of family, adventure, survival, and especially, love. Six million Jews were murdered in the Holocaust –for those who survived and their children, it is never over.
The reading will be followed by a question and answer session, refreshments and the opportunity to view the exhibits in the Saint John Jewish Historical Museum.
