This year will be the first year that we will have a fully Kosher Passover Seder. In order to accomplish this, we will be purchasing kosher meat for the Seder from Scoop & Save (who get it from Montreal) and will have a few people cook the meat in a kosher manner.
The Passover Seder meal has traditionally been a Pot Luck. So we ask for people to bring supplementary dishes that have been prepared that are suitable for Passover (no flour or bread added ingredients should be kosher for Passover as much as possible).
Please don’t bring any meat dishes (we will take care of that as well as matzos, and wine)
Suggested Pot Luck Dishes: (Remember no bread or flour in any of the dishes)
Rice dishes are ok (Sephardic custom allows for rice and other legumes)
For desserts – fruit is ok but if you are going to bring a cake or cookies please purchase a kosher-for-Passover cake mix or cookies from the Scoop & Save. (see the product lists below)
Since we have to purchase the kosher meat soon we need to have a good estimate of the number of people who will be attending. Within 3 days – please e-mail with the number of people that will be attending, guests included. This is very important.
To reply e-mail Leo at firstname.lastname@example.org and indicate how many people in your party.
If you have a particular food item that you like to bring, please indicate.
